The Phillip and Penelope Knight Athletic Training Center is the main athletic training hub of the Stanford University Sports Medicine Staff. Opened in 2013, the state of the art facility is located on the basement level of the Arrillaga Family Sports Center and is home to the majority of the athletic training staff.  This facility features advanced modalities and rehabilitation equipment including an antigravity treadmill to allow for the most up to date treatment for Stanford student athletes.

Through it’s unique location directly adjacent to the sports performance facility, the Athletic Training Center allows for athletes to utilize both the resources of athletic trainers and sports performance coaches.  This collaboration provides for optimal care and prevention of athletic injuries through the multidisciplinary approach to health and performance.

During the academic year, the Athletic Training Center will be open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on weekends and holidays, athletic competition and practices will dictate hours. During the summer months, the athletic training center operates on a reduced schedule.

The Athletic Training Center’s general phone number is 650.723.1214. A message can be left at this number for any team athletic trainer. If you have an emergency after hours, please contact your team athletic trainer directly or call 9-1-1.

Stanford student athletes may receive walk-in services from available staff during business hours but are strongly encouraged to use the facility during pre-arranged times with their team athletic trainer.
