Vanessa Lara-Diaz, a native of Palm Desert, CA., joined the Stanford Athletic Training staff in September 2018 as an Athletic Training Intern. After spending a semester at Stanford as an Athletic Training Student, Lara-Diaz was asked to come back to work with Women’s Light Weight and Varsity Crew Teams after she earned her Masters’ degree in Athletic Training from the University of Idaho.

During Vanessa’s graduate studies at the University of Idaho, she was exposed to various clinical settings, as well as research. She worked alongside DI Football, Swimming and Diving, and Baseball, plus she spent time with the general population and in high schools. Lara-Diaz looks to continue to develop her clinical/interpersonal skills, and increase her knowledge while at Stanford University.
