Rachel Salazar, MS, ATC, joined the Stanford Athletic Training staff in May 2018 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Previous to Stanford she spent 4 years an an Associate Athletic Trainer at the University of California, Berkeley working with both the men’s and women’s gymnastics teams. Prior to that she spent 7 years as an Associate Athletic Trainer at Saint Mary’s College of California with primary responsibilities for Men’s Soccer, Softball, Baseball, Women’s Lacrosse, and Women’s Volleyball.

Rachel’s primary sport responsibilities are with Men’s Gymnastics, Lightweight and Openweight Women’s Rowing teams. In addition, she also will be overseeing the inventory, budget and ordering for the Sports Medicine Department.

Rachel completed her Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH. She obtained her Undergraduate Kinesiology Degree from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Rachel is a bay area native from Concord, CA. She likes to take her dogs to the beach, hike, fish, and camp in her off time.
